World renowned flying Dutchmen Pako (Sekander Raisani) & Frederik (Frederik Borgesius) have been part of the international dance scene for over 15 years now, gaining worldwide recognition for their productions, dj’ing and live sets.
Pako and Frederik joined forces in their early days to produce numerous club-hits such as: ‘The Magic Shop’ and ‘Seaside Atmosphere’. Since 1996, Pako & Frederik's early releases on their own label Majestic Music led to immediate worldwide recognition, leading to numerous requests for their remix work on labels such as Nervous, DMC, Acetate, Dorigen and more.
They were also working with the GU brand closely and had released several singles for the label, such as ‘Beatus Possessor’, ‘Western Approaches’ and ’45 Minutes’. The duo was first featured on Global Underground in 1999, when John Digweed included their track ‘Blue Steel’ on his GU Hong Kong album, and then followed by a couple of signings on his prestigious Bedrock label. Their tracks have featured on compilations mixed by: Sasha & Digweed, Carl Cox, Anthony Pappa, Jerry Bonham, Derrick Carter, Remy and Slam and the duo finally released their own mixed compilation in 2002.
For this reason, they were chosen to launch Global Underground’s music imprint GU Music, which is Global Underground’s artists based label for singles and albums. Their first album was entitled ‘Atlantic Breakers’.
Since 1995 Pako & Frederik have performed live at international festivals like I Love Techno, Dancevalley (mainstage in 2004) and at numerous clubs worldwide such as Amnesia in Ibiza, Bedrock in London and Zouk in Singapore. More recently they have played live sets in Mexico, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Malaysia and the Dominican Republic.
In 2006 they started a new label called Sitrep. The first two releases are by the boys themselves, using their family names: Raisani & Borgesius. At the moment Pako & Frederik are busy working on their second album for Global Underground, and on several twelve inches and remixes for various labels.
