In the last few years, Uruguayan DJ Carlos Regueira aka Southmen has made his mark on the global scene.A native of Montevideo, Carlos set out his career at the early age of 16, then playing private parties, but quickly made his mark and took his first residency in 1996 at Cafè del Mar in Punta del Este.
In '96 and '97 he was making his sound known frequenting at clubs such as the legendary South American club Space in Punta del Este, titled best South American club from 1998 to 2000 by Muzik magazine, where he played alongside Alvaro Quartino, one of the South American legendary DJs.
Moving into the latter half of the nineties Carlos played alongside the likes of big wigs such as Felix Da Housecat & Hernan Cattaneo in some of the biggest clubs in Uraguay, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Portugal, Spain.
On the productions front, he's had great reactions all round, with Danny Tenaglia, Tom Stephan, P&Z, Chus and Ceballos and Saeed Younan all playing them out.
